Worked for 5 years as a part-time staff physical therapist for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Performed thorough orthopedic and neurological eval. and treatments, especially manual therapy and home instructions, for a variety of diagnoses. Created community outreach programs; off-site visits to workout/health club facilities and industrial work sites.

Stephens College Dance Program, Columbia, Missouri

Created a job in the area of evaluation and prevention of injuries in the dance setting. Worked tirelessly for 5 years with collegiate dancers, instructors, and guest artists. Consulted regularly with staff physician, student service nurses, and local specialized health professionals, including athletic trainers; ER physicians as needed.

Columbia Adapted Gymnastics/Special Olympics Program, Columbia, Missouri

Developed a gymnastics program for individuals with a variety of disabilities and worked weekly for 12 years to build a program that exists today. It exists through the work and dedication of volunteers and members of the University of Missouri-Columbia PT and OT schools as a service-learning project for program credit.

Worked with a wide variety of diagnoses in acute care, cardiac rehab., neuro. clinic, neonatal ICU, medical ICU, burn center, and orthopedic clinic. Worked closely with orthopedic physician in a regular clinic setting, with limited patient time and limited resources; offered evaluation of orthopedic concerns and set-up sound home exercise programs.
